Hounds Defeat Bulldogs

Pullman softball delivered a strong all-around performance on April 8, 2026, defeating Colfax 8–4 in a nonleague matchup at Pullman.

The Greyhounds (5–1) took control early after a quiet first inning, erupting for four runs in the second to seize momentum. They added three more in the fourth and tacked on an insurance run in the sixth to secure the win over the Bulldogs (6–2).

Leading the charge for Pullman was Charise Kapofu, who had a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Charise Kapofu consistently sparked the offense and helped fuel multiple scoring rallies.

At the plate, Pullman racked up 11 hits, with contributions throughout the lineup. Taylor Cromie added two hits, including a home run and three RBIs, while Ady Sanford and MJ Druffel each chipped in two hits and MJ Druffel also driving in a pair of runs. Extra-base power played a key role, as Pullman collected doubles from Ady Sanford, Charise Kapofu, MJ Druffel, and Taylor Cromie.

In the circle, Bailee Randall earned the win, helping limit Colfax after an early push. The Bulldogs scored twice in the first inning but were largely contained the rest of the way as Pullman’s defense and pitching settled in.

Overall, the Greyhounds combined timely hitting, depth in the lineup, and steady pitching to control the game after the opening frame, continuing a strong start to their Spring 2026 season.
