Softball Completes Comeback to Beat East Valley

Pullman softball is building a strong case as one of the top teams in 2A, rising to No. 9 in the WIAA RPI and continuing to deliver impressive results on the field.

On April 14, Pullman (6-1, 5-1) earned a statement 17-13 road win over East Valley in Greater Spokane League 2A play. While the game was tight early, the Greyhounds showed their trademark resilience, erupting for nine runs in the final two innings—including a seven-run seventh—to pull away.

The offense was led by Taylor Cromie, who had a flawless 5-for-5 performance with a home run, double, three RBIs, and five runs scored. Bailee Randall also had a big day with three hits, including extra-base power, and three RBIs, while Izzy Dahmen, Sanford, and Sophie Collins each delivered key contributions to keep the lineup rolling.

Even after surrendering a big inning mid-game, Pullman never lost control, responding with consistent pressure at the plate and timely hitting when it mattered most. Bailee Randall earned the win in the circle, with support from Ady Sanford.

With a deep lineup and the ability to explode offensively late in games, Pullman is proving it can compete with anyone—and its top-10 RPI ranking is starting to look well deserved.
