Greyhounds Plunder Pirates

On Tuesday, March 26th the 3-1-2 Pullman Greyhounds traveled to ONE Stadium to play against the hosting Rogers Pirates. The hosts had just come off a 0-1 loss at the hands of Clarkston Bantams, while the Hounds had won their previous matchup winning 3-0 against the East Valley Knights.

After a good attacking start from the Pirates, reaching the Hounds box twice in the first minute, Captain Evan French played a through ball into sophomore Isaiah Bischoff who opened the scoring for the Hounds. After this boost of momentum, the success continued when Evan French scored to put the Hounds up 2-0 going into halftime.

Four minutes into the second half,  Dante Wallace was played in on goal and scored to put the hounds up to a very comfortable 3-0 lead. After this goal the floodgates were opened, and Dante Wallace scored for a second time in one minute, assisted by junior Marcelo Romero. The Hounds then went up to 5-0 in the 51’ when Evan French scored for a second time after beating one defender and the goalkeeper to score another for Pullman. In the 54’ freshman Owen Shulenburger played a cross into the box off of a freekick, and forced a mistake from a Rogers defender to make it 6-0. Owen Shulenburger once again added to the Hounds scoring after beating a defender on the right wing. Finally to cap off the day, Marcus Neville scored a curler to finish a good performance, making it 8-0.
