Pullman Boys Tennis Takes Eighth at Larry McConnell Invite
The Pullman Greyhounds turned in a competitive showing at the Larry McConnell Invite on March 28, finishing eighth overall with 94 team points in a large multi-school tournament held across multiple venues in Lewiston and Clarkston.
Facing a deep and talented field, Pullman battled throughout the day and found success in doubles play. The Greyhounds’ top highlight came from the #1 doubles team of Daniel Schertenleib and Svanik Bose, who earned a third-place finish against strong competition, giving Pullman a key boost in the standings.
Despite not cracking the top tier of team finishes, Pullman’s performance reflected steady effort and resilience across the lineup. Competing against some of the top programs in the region, the Greyhounds gained valuable experience in a tournament setting that featured a full slate of singles and doubles matches.
Pullman’s eighth-place finish demonstrates a foundation to build on as the season progresses. With contributors stepping up in key matches—especially in doubles—the Greyhounds showed they can compete and continue improving against high-level opponents.
