Greyhounds Roll North Central 15-1
The Pullman Greyhounds baseball continued their strong start to the 2026 spring season with a dominant 15–1 victory over the North Central Wolfpack baseball in a Greater Spokane League 2A matchup on March 23. The game, played at North Central, was shortened to five innings due to the run rule.
Pullman wasted no time setting the tone, delivering consistent offense throughout the game while backing it up with solid pitching. Leading the charge was Will Denney, who turned in an outstanding performance at the plate, driving in three runs on three hits. His ability to come through in key moments helped the Greyhounds steadily build an insurmountable lead.
Pullman’s lineup showed depth from top to bottom. Multiple players contributed multi-hit performances, including Adrian Hecker and Braden Northcroft, while Grant Lovinger and Joshua Rafliff added key RBIs to keep the pressure on. The Greyhounds also displayed extra-base power, racking up several doubles, including two from Braden Northcroft and two from Grant Lovinger.
On the mound, Adrian Hecker earned the win with a strong outing before Harrison Focht and Will Denney came in to close things out. The pitching staff limited North Central’s opportunities and controlled the tempo throughout the shortened contest.
For North Central, Nicholas Elliott stood out as a bright spot, collecting two hits—including a triple—and driving in the team’s lone run. Despite scattered offensive contributions from Lentes, Carruthers, and others, the Wolfpack were unable to keep pace with Pullman’s explosive offense.
The loss drops North Central to 0–4 overall and 0–3 in league play, while Pullman improves to 2–0 both overall and in GSL 2A competition.
With momentum firmly on their side, the Greyhounds now turn their attention to their next matchup against the Clarkston Bantams baseball, where they will look to continue their early-season dominance.
