Pullman Baseball Outslugs Deer Park in High-Scoring League Win
The Pullman Greyhounds powered their way to a big 12–9 road victory over Deer Park on March 31, using a relentless offensive attack to secure the Greater Spokane League 2A win.
Pullman (4-1, 4-1) wasted no time getting on the board, scoring in the first inning and building momentum early. After a back-and-forth start that saw Deer Park answer with two runs in the opening frame, the Greyhounds steadily took control—highlighted by a massive five-run fourth inning that broke the game open.
Leading the offensive explosion was Braden Barnett, who delivered a perfect day at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three runs scored. Braden Barnett consistently set the tone for Pullman’s lineup, sparking rallies and keeping pressure on Deer Park’s pitching all game long.
The Greyhounds’ depth was on full display, tallying 15 hits as a team. Will Denney and Cash McCann each collected three hits, while Adrian Hecker, Blake Dobbins, Grant Lovinger, and Josh Ratliff all contributed multiple key moments at the plate. Extra-base hits from Braden Barnett and Will Denney helped fuel the offense, while timely hitting throughout the lineup kept innings alive.
Run production came from all directions, with Braden Northcroft driving in three runs to lead the team, and Adrian Hecker and Will Denney each adding two RBIs. Pullman’s ability to string together hits and capitalize with runners on base proved to be the difference in a game where both teams showed offensive firepower.
On the mound, Will Denney earned the win for Pullman, with relief appearances from Rocky Evans and Braden Northcroft helping the Greyhounds close out the game despite a late push from Deer Park.
Defensively, both teams battled through challenges, each committing six errors, but Pullman’s offensive output ultimately outweighed any miscues.
Deer Park made things interesting late, scoring three runs in the final inning, but the Greyhounds’ earlier surge provided enough cushion to hold on for the win.
With the victory, Pullman continues to build momentum in league play, showcasing a potent combination of hitting depth and resilience as the season moves forward.
