Golf Results From Jim Shriver Invitational

PULLMAN — Battling steady rain and challenging course conditions, the Pullman Greyhounds boys golf team competed at the Jim Shriver Invitational, finishing 15th overall after 18 holes of play.

Despite the wet weather, the Greyhounds showed resilience throughout the day as every golfer pushed through rain-soaked fairways and slick greens.

Leading the way for Pullman was Kareem Kariuki, who turned in a total score of +23. Kareem Kariuki opened with a +10 on the front nine before carding a +13 on the back, navigating the difficult conditions with consistency.

Brandon Brown followed with a +19 total, pacing the team with a strong overall round despite the rain. Owen Brannan posted a +31, while Perry Barner finished close behind at +30. Milo Wexler rounded out the Greyhounds scoring with a +33 total.

With rain falling throughout much of the round, players faced added challenges controlling shots and reading greens, making scoring difficult across the field.

Even so, Pullman gained valuable early-season experience competing against a large invitational field.

The Greyhounds will look to build on that experience when they return to action March 31 at the GSL Match No. 1.
