After Dominating White River 4-0 in the first round of state Hounds Trek across the state to Tacoma hoping to defeat 3rd seed Franklin Pierce. With high confidence the boys enter the game looking to get a quick goal on the Cardinals, their wish came true with a through ball from Leo Hoffman which striker Carlens Dollin got to just before he chipped the keeper of Franklin pierce with a shot that bounced off the woodworks and into the goal bringing the hounds to a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute.
Entering the second half the match was tight with high pressure towards the hounds backline where Franklin Fierce lobbed countless balls from their back line to the hounds Centre Backs Ben Campbell and Clay Johnson made lightwork of the balls over the top with several crucial clearances each. The Hounds truck back when Clarens Dollin found the top corner of the goal from the edge of the 18 after juking and maneuvering his way around multiple defenders. With high confidence Carlens Dollin finds Lukas Wexler inside the 18 yard box where he clinically slots the ball past the Cardinals keeper to put a cap on the game finishing 3-0.
The boys Celebrated their win and hope to continue in the tournament and to defeat 2nd seed North Kitsap in the Semi-Finals in Renton. Hounds will face them this Friday and hope to do something no other Pullman team has done in over 20 years, and win a State Championship this Saturday.
