Pullman Boys Defeat Clarkston and Rogers on Senior Night
The Pullman Boys won against both Rogers and Clarkston and the Pullman Girls split- winning against Clarkston and losing to Rogers by 1 point.
It was another meet with some huge performances from Pullman – Liam Fitzgerald ran and won the 1600, 400, 800, and anchored our 4×400, which also took the win. His sister, Anna Fitzgerald, won the 1600 and 800 and also anchored our winning 4×400 team.
At the 2A level for Pullman
Tim Chapman moved to 6th in the state with his 200m performance of 22.65 and Liam Fitzgerald to 7th ranked in the 400m at 51.17 to pair with his 6th place standing in the 800m run from last Saturday (1:59.37). Abigail Hulst moved to 8th in the state with a 3200m personal best of 11:36.52 while 9th grader Maile Sandberg ranks 9th in the pole vault. The pullman boys 4x400m relay team of Chapman, Fitzgerald, Evan Anderson, and Anthony Wright also hold the third fastest time in the state in that event from this meet.
Rogers of Spokane athletes Ellabelle Taylor (200m, 2nd ranked, 26.24), Emily Peabody (400m, 5th ranked, 1:01.44). Aaron Kinsey (100m, 8th ranked, 11.09), Jay Len Sparks (110m Hurdles, 6th ranked, 15.53). Their 4x100m team boasted the third fastest time in the event on the year.
Overall, all the teams posted some really great marks and Pullman is still finetuning our events as we head into championship season.
