Hounds take tough loss against Grangeville

Hounds softball opened with their first game on Tuesday against Grangeville. The two teams battled it out, with Grangeville holding a slight lead over the Hounds for majority of the game. However, the Hounds kept the game interesting by scoring five runs in a single inning, and by not allowing the Bulldogs to score any runs in two separate innings. The Bulldogs hit many deep balls into the outfield including a home run, but the Hounds challenged back with a double play that prevented the Bulldogs from further scoring that inning. Bulldogs finished the game 15-10, but in no way was the game a one-sided affair.

The Hounds play again on Thursday, where they will face Colton at home.
