PHS Tennis take 2nd at McConnell Invite

The Pullman High Boys’ and Girls’ Tennis team placed 2nd in the Larry McConnell Invitational Tennis Tournament last Friday and Saturday. The girls swept the singles bracket, with Senior Gwyn Heim as No 1. Singles Champion, Sophomore Diana Gutierrez as No. 2 Singles Champion and Senior Rachel Lam as No. 3 Singles Champion. Senior Kei Bromley and Junior Lotti Wolf took second in the No. 1 Girls Doubles bracket with Sophomore Neal Wang placing second in the No. 3 Boys Singles bracket. Greyhound girls coach Dan Vollmer called the result a “great way to start the season,” noting that aside from Washington Class 2A Pullman, “every school in this tournament is 3A (or) 4A in Washington and 4A (or) 5A in Idaho.” Go Hounds!
