Hounds beat Highlanders 4-0 in first conference match of season

The Pullman Grey Hounds (3-2) took on the Shadle Park Highlanders (2-3) in the Hounds first conference game of the season.  The Highlanders right from the whistle looked overmatched and the Hounds seemed to notice, trying hard to get an early goal. They finally broke through in the 14′ minute when Freshman Clarens Dollin crossed the ball to Senior Aidan Crossler who connected on the ball for his 5 goal of the season. In the 22′ minute the Hounds broke through once again this time a solo effort by Junior Carlens Dollin who took a touch around the keeper for his 3 goal of the season. The rest of the half went by without much more action by either team. The second half started off the same way with little energy from either team until on a corner by the Hounds, Freshmen Clarens Dollin managed to take a touch on a lose ball and knock it home. That brought the score to 3-0 in the 64′ minute.  The last goal of the game happened in the 74′ minute when Sophomore Leon Lange crossed a ball to Clarens Dollin for his second goal of the game and the season. Shadle only managed one shot on goal and Senior goalkeeper Tom Cole was up to the challenge. The Hounds recorded their second shutout in as many games.

Up Next: The (4-2) Grey Hounds take on the (0-6) Cheney Blackhawks this Saturday (3/26) in the Hounds final non-conference match up of the season.
