Hounds shutout Black Hills 4-0 to kick-off season

Pullman traveled to Tumwater and face the Black Hills Wolves for the season opener. Originally, the trip was planned for the 2020 season, but Covid-19 placed everything on hold. The Hounds had 4 different scorers in the season opener and walked away with a 4-0 win. Pullman faces WF West next to end the trip on the west side.

The Hounds started the game off fast, with a goal happening within the first 15 minutes. The ball was played into the box and bounced around until center midfielder Ian Oatley struck the ball cleanly with his left foot and went into the bottom corner. That brought the score to 1-0 and just 11 minutes later, in the 26th minute, brothers Clarence and Car Dollin  teamed up for a magical goal. Left midfielder Clarence performed a triple scissor on the left side getting passed his man and crossed the ball squarely on the ground right to his brother Car Dollin who volleyed it past the Black Hills goal keeper. Black Hills had a few opportunities but Senior goalkeeper Tom Cole was able to hold it off registering 4 saves on the game. That leads us to the Hounds third goal in the 69th minute when Sophomore Midfielder Leon Lange hit a ball to Phillip who took a touch around the Goalkeeper and finished. The final goal of the Game Senior Forward Aiden Crossler managed to receive a cross from Clarence (2nd assist of game) and was able to take a touch and finish it.
